The Argyle Australian Chocolate Diamond
Each diamond in a box and diamond set in the Aussie Diamond Boxes jewellery is an Australian Chocolate Diamond. Australian Chocolate Diamonds are from the Argyle diamond mine in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. The Argyle mine is the world’s largest supplier of natural coloured diamonds and is renowned for elegant champagne and signature pink diamonds. The Argyle mine has a limited lifespan and, depending on resource evaluations, may be decommissioned as early as 2025. The chocolate colour of the diamonds is achieved by a process called plastic deformation. It is a natural process when the diamond is being formed and not an impurity.
